Back by popular demand, The Weslaco Museum will host a presentation on Rio Rico by Joe Vidales. Rio Rico was a part of Mexico, then the United States, and again a part of Mexico. But what of its people? Some of the residents of Rio Rico were born citizens of the United States, who then were “lost” to Mexico. The changes that occured went unnoticed for decades. Learn what happened in 1906 and who was ultimately responsible for these changes in nationality.
